I wanted to make a blanket that was more than just a Valentine’s Day Gift. A lot of people don’t get into the holiday. Some certainly don’t care about spending a Hallmark holiday with anyone, especially if they don't want or have a significant other in their lives. Others feel it’s just another day on the calendar.

You may notice when you have your material cut the person behind the cut counter is not always concerned with how straight your edges are. That’s why it’s super important to learn how to square up your fabric. You want to have your material as straight as possible before starting.

One of my favorite aspects of blanket making is the shopping process. I love the numerous choices of all the exquisite fabrics and don’t even get me started on the colorful, plush, amazing yarns. I could spend hours in the fabric store choosing the perfect fabric and yarn.
